Amit Kumar Gupta is an accomplished technology leader with over 18 years of experience in building and scaling technology platforms for various organizations. Currently, he is serving as the CTO of Rebel Foods, where he is responsible for setting and driving the vision for all functions of technology, including Dev, QA, Architecture, Mobile, PMO, DevOps, NOC, Data Platform, Analytics, Data Science, and IoT. In his current role, he is building deeper engineering capabilities, rebuilding key platforms to be more scalable, extensible, flexible, and future-ready, and setting up processes to bring engineering and operational excellence. Before joining Rebel Foods, Amit served as the CTO of Transerv, a digital payments company, where he designed and delivered scalable, reliable, and highly available payments, lending, and data platforms from scratch. He also led the mobile engineering team during desktop to mobile transformation, payments, and technology for offline holidays at MakeMyTrip. Amit's key skill areas include hiring, building, and mentoring top-class and culturally fit teams of all respective technology functions, defining and driving short-term and long-term tech strategy for the organization, bringing technology interventions, automations, and measurement metrics in all possible places, and designing and implementing large-scale performance-sensitive products handling large amounts of data. He has a Master of Science degree in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from HBTI, Kanpur.
